Upcoming Workshop (4/20): Social Writing

Upcoming Workshop (4/20): Social Writing
With the GC Teaching and Learning Center
Social Writing
April 20th, from 1-3 pm
Room 9207
What does it mean to “write socially” in the digital age? How can we share the value of social writing with our students and empower them to share ideas in collaborative and networked spaces?Practices of social writing are now more accessible (and perhaps even necessary) than ever, and this workshop will explore numerous classroom applications. During this session, we will learn how to evaluate and implement digital social writing platforms, and discuss strategies for tools like Social Paper, Mozilla Etherpad, Google Docs, and even Twitter hashtags in classroom settings for a range of disciplines and course levels.
